Answers from the data you already have.
Vista is our family of intelligence applications. Each one reads the data your business already produces, puts a figure on what it finds, and ranks what to do first, in words your team already uses. It runs alongside your current system, so nothing changes at the counter.
Every Vista application answers the same four questions.
Whatever part of the business it’s pointed at, the answer comes back in the same shape. That consistency matters more than any single application.
What does good look like?
What a healthy number is for your business, set on purpose, not a target somebody picked in a meeting.
How do we measure it?
The same way every month, with seasons and trends accounted for, so a slow February doesn’t look like a crisis.
What’s at risk?
Where trouble is building before it shows up: cash tied up, margin slipping, counts you can’t trust yet.
What should happen next?
A ranked list, each item with a plain reason and a dollar figure. Almost nothing else in the building answers this one.
The system you already run answers a fifth question, and answers it well: what happened. It records every transaction accurately, because that’s what it was built to do. It was never built to answer the other four.
A clearer view of the next decision
| Review area | What to look for | Possible next action |
|---|---|---|
| Slow-moving stock | Cash tied up in items with limited demand | Review demand, terms and clearance options |
| Pricing exceptions | Items outside your pricing rules | Review costs, margin and proposed prices |
| Count differences | Records that need checking | Investigate quantities and correct the records |
| Operating performance | Patterns worth a closer look | Assign an owner and a date to review it |
Readable by the people who have to act on it.
Vista does careful work underneath: cost basis, item movement, department targets, a permanent record of every approved change. You shouldn’t need any of that vocabulary to know what it found and what to do next.
- It says what it found, in dollars and departments, not indexes and abbreviations.
- It says why it matters, with a plain reason you can repeat to a manager.
- It says what isn’t certain. Estimates are labeled as estimates.
Your business is seasonal, so Vista’s math accounts for seasons and trends. What you see is whether the business got better, not what time of year it is.
The same intelligence, at two levels.
The math comes first. How it reaches you depends on which part of the business you’re looking at and how you want to work.
Health snapshots
Scores, exceptions and a ranked set of actions from your own data, delivered as a report, with a file you can load into the system you already run. There’s nothing to log into, and a snapshot is a complete piece of work on its own.
Applications
Standalone software built on the same math, with the process around it: try a change before you commit to it, approve what you accept, and keep a permanent record of what was done.
Same approach, different part of the business.
Profit doesn’t leak in one place. Each application reads the data you already have, measures what’s happening, and ranks what it’s costing you.
Vista Margin Intelligence
Prices drift. Costs move, rules stop being followed, and the gap shows up at year end. Margin Intelligence shows where margin is slipping by department, which prices to review first, and what each change is worth.
Pricing review
| Review | Decision |
|---|---|
| Costs and margins | Check the starting information |
| Proposed changes | Compare, then approve what you want |
- Margin by department, not one blended number
- A ranked list of prices to review
- Estimated added gross profit per year
- A permanent record of what you approved
Vista Inventory Intelligence
A dealer with $800,000 in inventory can have tens of thousands in dead capital that nobody’s measured. Inventory Intelligence grades what you hold for accuracy, availability, efficiency, control and productivity, and puts a figure on what each problem is costing.
Inventory review
| Review | Decision |
|---|---|
| Parts and equipment | Review demand and exposure |
| Count exceptions | Check the quantities at the source |
- Obsolete and overstock exposure, in dollars
- Shrink, swell and negative inventory
- Which counts to do first
A note on the names. Pricing & Margin, in the Operations area below, is the broader subject: everything that goes into how prices get set and what the business keeps, which is consulting and training ground as much as software. Margin Intelligence is the application built for the margin part of it.
Four areas of the business, and what falls under each.
What brings money in, what it takes to deliver, the office behind it, and the owner’s view of the whole thing. Each area answers the same four questions.
Revenue Intelligence
Profitable growth through a better read on customers, demand and sales. Covers sales, customers and demand.
Operations Intelligence
How the operation performs, how hard the inventory is working, and the margin the business actually earns. Covers inventory, pricing and margin, purchasing and service.
Administrative Intelligence
Reliable administration, and numbers your managers, lender and accountant can trust. Covers administrative and financial operations.
Executive Intelligence
A business that’s stronger, easier to sell or pass on, and less dependent on the owner. Covers leadership, succession and exit.
Every area has a health snapshot. Margin Intelligence and Inventory Intelligence, both under Operations, are the two full applications.
It works with whatever you run today.
If your operational data can be exported, Vista can work with it, whatever system you run now and whatever you move to later.
Vista reads exported files. It doesn’t need a live connection to your system and never writes back to it on its own. You approve changes and update your system yourself.
- Your item list: item number, description, cost, current price, vendor and department. MSRP, MAP, quantity on hand and UPC help if you have them.
- Twelve months of sales history: item, month and units sold. Dollar amounts aren’t needed.
- Why twelve months: without sales history, Vista can tell you what your margins are but not which items deserve your attention. Slow movers, dead stock, your biggest profit contributors and the yearly estimate all come from that second file.
Your data. Your decisions.
Export
Send a copy of the data from the system you already run.
Inspect
We check the format, the fields and the condition of the data.
Analyze
We run the analysis you’ve agreed to.
Review
We go through the findings together, and you decide what to approve.
The software is one of three ways we help.
You don’t have to hire anyone to use Vista. Some owners want someone alongside them while they act on what it found, or want their own team able to run it without help.
Consulting
Advice on profitability, pricing, inventory and how the operation runs, including the parts no application can see.
Training
For the people who run the operation, so reading the findings and acting on them is something your team does on its own.
The thinking behind Vista.
What Operational Intelligence Actually Means
A dashboard shows you numbers. This is about which of them need a decision this month, and who should be making it.
You Cannot Sell Your Way to a Better Year
Growth is the instinct when profit is short. It is rarely the fastest lever an owner has.
Freeing Cash Trapped in Dead Stock
A practical way to decide which slow-moving inventory deserves action.

Start with a walkthrough and a conversation about where your margin is going. Detailed analysis, findings and correction plans are paid work, with scope and price confirmed in writing first.
